Mariah's 360º approach to the storytelling craft thoughtfully blends photography, writing and art direction. Through sharp observational skills, a knack for detail and analysis, she meticulously puts together an engaging narrative experience with compelling images and rich, insightful writing.

As an art director, Mariah uses her approach to storytelling to produce visual projects where every element seamlessly aligns through effective collaboration to make an aesthetically insightful impact from layout, illustration, collage, maps and infographics to the production of multimedia shoots on sets or in the field.

With a decade and counting of travel industry experience, she has developed a profound understanding of how to convey the beauty and complexity of destinations around the world. Her extensive knowledge in the travel space and ever persistent curiosity is what enables her to uncover hidden gems and share the stories behind them. She has experienced a range of cultures and landscapes and translates her experiences into captivating content that inspires and informs. Mariah’s published photo essays on spectacles from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day, the Coney Island Hot Dog eating contest, Texas high school football and prom, and an all-female, volunteer run Battle of Flowers parade in San Antonio. She has written and photographed cultural traditions and their history on Voodoo rituals in New Orleans, Dia de los Muertos in Mexico, and the Dallas Hip Hop community. Mariah has also published stories on food, arts and travel like Texas BBQ in Paris, the reopening of MoMA and reviews of design forward luxury boutique hotels.
